School Community Councils encourage active involvement in school activities and projects by community members. Additionally, School Community Councils work to identify ways to support the school principal and school staff in advancing the school’s Strategic Plan. The Strategic Plan, a collaboratively developed document, aligns priorities set by the Ministry of Education and Regina Public Schools and is reflected within individual schools. It frames the goals and actions of school staff in collaboration with the School Community Council to provide the best possible learning environment for all students.
